Hi Friends.

I’m upset with the recent events in Israel and Palestine. With precious life lost on both sides, it’s sad to imagine the pain and the loss. As a victim of a terrorist attack when I was 16, I can first-hand share how pathetic and vulnerable you feel when you witness death, blood spilled savagely, and experience violence. It changes you and stays with you for the rest of your life.

I can only imagine how hard it must be for the Palestinians - especially the children - to go through this ordeal daily. I understand Israel’s anger and aggression, and the pain of their innocent lives lost is equally heartbreaking, but making extremely emotional decisions and unknowingly recreating the Holocaust (by acting just like the aggressors i.e. Nazis in world war 2) is not the best representation of self-defense or self-preservation. Israel and the West should tread carefully.
The bloodshed must stop.

There is no way to talk positives while we have the above-described scenario, but hear me out.

Breathing in a safe environment, surrounded by loved ones is a blessing. Children of war, stripped of their innocence, long for memories we take for granted. It is a moment of reflection to remember: care about each other and deeply value life.

I’m grateful to be safe and with the people I love. I realize how precious each of us truly is, and as long as I live, I’ll protect each human life as it’s my own.

Life is equally precious - yours and theirs.

💪 Wins of the week

  1. I'm unlearning! I've been gaining new information that is challenging my current notions of life and way of working. Since I know my understanding of life is imperfect, I'm enlightened and excited to learn new information and apply it in my work affairs. Unlearning is a critical component of growth in life.
  2. I am having a great time fulfilling my filial duties. It feels good to make your loved ones happy.
  3. I published my article and YouTube video (watch the video at the end of this newsletter)

🧐 Challenges & Learnings

  1. Usually, what you’re running away from is the thing that’s blocking you from reaching your end goal. After multiple conversations with my father, I got insights on a specific life blocker and ways of overcoming it. I’m excited to work on the issue and get results.
  2. Family is important. Your parents are important. Love them and respect them.

🎯 Goals for Next Week

Next week is all about networking and taking risks.

  1. Connect with 50 electric battery suppliers and importers in the UAE to establish partnership.
  2. Build backend documentation for loyalty service and align with stakeholders at work.
  3. Publish 1 article and 1 YouTube video.
  4. Eat well and take care of my mental health.
  5. Gym: 4 days.

📖 My Readings

I’ve started reading Skin in the Game by Nassim Taleb. It’s an amazing book - I’m on the first chapter and I’m already hooked. I’ll share learnings in next week’s edition.
