I remember back in college, I realized a truth about life. As I am into mathematics (objectively and romantically), I try to explain the world around me from a mathematics perspective. It just makes things easier.

So, I realized that life functioned like a sine wave.

If you do not know what a sine wave is, let me explain: imagine a sinewave like the waves you see when you throw a pebble into a pond. The waves go up and down, up and down, in a smooth and regular pattern. Like the waves, a sinewave moves in a smooth, curvy line that goes up, then down, then up again, and keeps repeating this pattern.

Life has its ups and downs, much like the peaks and troughs of a wave. Enjoy the good times, but understand they won't last indefinitely. Every high point eventually gives way to a descent, leading to challenging periods. However, these lows are not permanent. Just as every wave must dip, it also rises again. The existence of challenging times doesn't signify a forever loss of joy but rather a momentary hardship. Life is cyclical, and with every downturn, an upturn is on the horizon.

Life loves a pattern - despite how intricate a pattern is, there is always one. The night is not eternal - it is just a temporary movement away from the sunlight - yet, the sunlight always emerges.

Having tough days is part of life, and they're valuable. They give us a chance to learn and grow. So, if you're facing a rough time, remember it's only temporary. Even if it feels dark now, there's always light waiting for you. Just keep going, and you'll make it through.
