Hi Friends,

As I’m aging, I’m getting repelled by the idea of discussing personal matters or discussing trivial topics. In such conversations, I feel I’m not learning anything new or valuable. Some might argue that talking about trivial things is refreshing and even teaches you something in their way. I disagree.

On the contrary, I’m getting attracted to conversations about how the world works, about some scientific discoveries, or about how to build a successful business. And interestingly, it doesn’t bore me.

Anything that teaches me about tangible aspects of life, I welcome it. It might be simply talking about any industry or how bees produce honey - I don’t care, but it should teach me something valuable about how the world works.

I think it’s because my attitude towards the value of my time has evolved. I refuse to engage in a conversation that fails to produce a learning outcome for both actors. I don’t know if the reader feels the same, but here’s a probing question: start valuing your time and observe if you feel the same way.

I’ll be here to learn about your answer.
